the lead part sounds like a distorted guitar being played with an ebow and a few effects (phase shifting maybe, there is song tremelo at the end.)
there may also be some harmonized guitar sometime during the song. it sounds like there is, but it is very quiet.
overall, it's a pretty easy song to play. not much more (or less) complicated than any other matt good song.
